Mission statement
Mission statement
The "Social and economic history studies" have a cross-epochal, transdisciplinary and international orientation.
The special interest of the series is in social and economic changes, processes and contexts in global and national as well as in regional and local perspectives up to the present. Social and economic phenomena are understood in their interdependencies, socio-cultural linkages and political implications. Openness to quantitative and qualitative approaches has characterised social and economic history studies since its beginnings. At the same time, the series sees itself as a forum that offers space for new theoretical and methodological, conceptual and empirical challenges.
Relevant monographs and anthologies are published in the series.
The manuscripts are peer-reviewed.
